If the above settings do not work for your mail client, try turning SSL off; however please know that your password will be transmitted in plain text and the potential for collection and abuse by spammers is exponentially greater. If turning SSL off is the only way your mail client works, please contact your network administrator to make sure that SSL ports are not being blocked by a firewall. If this is not the case, it may be best to try another mail client that properly supports SSL. Here are two clients, known to support SSL as a feature:
**WARNING: OLD BOOK MARKS DO NOT WORK!**
Use: https://mail.qx.net to get to webmail.

Turn Use SSL on

Tap Done in the top right. It will take a moment to verify the settings and then there is one more thing to change.
Tap Account in the top left to go back to your Account settings.

Scroll to the bottom again.
Turn Use SSL on Tap Authentication > tap Password and verify there is a check mark on the right of it, tap Advanced in the top left to go back.
Tap Account in the top left to go back.
Tap Done in the top right.
It will take a moment to verify the settings and then once complete you should be able to go to your mail application and verify that you are now receiving mail again.
If you encounter an error during the steps above when verifying the settings, go back to the settings you were on and try tapping "Done" in the top right again. If that fails, try turning SSL off and trying "Done" again.
If neither of the above fixes worked for you it may be best to remove the account from your phone or iPad and re-add it. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Select your QX email account. Tap Delete Account at the bottom. It will ask you to confirm. Do so and wait a moment before it returns you to the account listing where you can tap Add Account to re-add the account.
